Otto Meier was born in Dortmund, Germany in 1903.
From 1923 - 1924 he studied in Italy, and one year later he started a course in Dortmund in the evenings for architect and sculptors.
In 1926 he started for himself as a potter in Worpswede and the two years following he joined a potters group in Bremen.
In 1988 he joined the famous " Gruppe 83 ". ( A group of famous German potters ). His work was or still is shown in many museums through Germany, like the Keramion in Frechen, Hetjens-Museum in Düsseldorf, Focke Museum in Bremen, Schloss Strünkede in Oldenburg and many more.
Otto Meier died in 1996.
