De Distel, Amsterdam. Established in 1895 by Jacobus M. Lob. Taken over in 1921 by Goedewaagen, Gouda. De Distel was famous for their production of art nouveau faience in the Netherlands. In the beginning of the faience factory, they produced more floral decors. After they contracted Bert Nienhuis, they changed their style to a more symmetrical decor, with mat glazes.
